If November 25th is “Black Friday” and November 28th is “Cyber Monday”, then what does that make the Saturday in between? It’s called “Small Business Saturday”, and it is the second annual shopping day where consumer’s pledge to support small and local businesses.
Supporting small businesses, whether in person, or online, allows independently owned small business to create jobs, help stimulate the economy, and puts much needed money back into communities across the country.
Last year, “Small Business Saturday helped create broad awareness of the importance of supporting the independent small businesses that are so vital to our communities,” said Kenneth Chenault, chairman and chief executive officer of American Express. It hopes to accomplish more awareness and revenue for small entities this year with its second annual event.
